Accessing Your Intuitive Mind

Wikipedia defines intuition as “the ability to acquire knowledge without recourse to conscious reasoning.” As further defined, different orientations use the word intuition in different ways, including “direct access to unconscious knowledge and the ability to understand something instinctively without the need for conscious reasoning.”

Albert Einstein spoke of the intuitive mind as “a sacred gift and the rational mind as a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.”

Medium.com discusses intuitive thinking as “an unconscious process for rapid action, judgement and decisions. Also called knowing with your heart or gut feeling. It is this unseen force that drives us.”

Charles Fillmore describes intuition as “the natural knowing capacity; the immediate apprehension of spiritual truth without resort to intellectual means. It is the wisdom of the heart...the sixth sense or divine knowing.” He states “Through the power of intuition, man has direct access to all knowledge and the wisdom of God.”

In my book Miraculous Creating, I discuss the distinction of At One Ment. The core element of At One Ment involves knowing that we are all at one with the creator, and the creator is all there is. From the space of being totally connected and in union with source energy, there is the capacity to be in alignment with the higher realms of knowledge and pure potentiality as we are much more sensitive and in tune with what is natural and inherent within each of us. As we are in alignment with the knowledge, wisdom, and power of source energy, through the power of meditation we become naturally intuitive.

Alexis Carrel once said “all great men are gifted with intuition...they know without reasoning or analysis what they need to know.” Jiddu Krishnamurti said “intuition is the whisper of the soul.” An anonymous source said “intuition is the truest energy, for it is what your spirit is feeling.”

It is possible to access your intuition through meditation. The process is enumerated as follows:

Begin your relaxation by assuming a comfortable position, either sitting and laying down.

Make sure your legs and feel are not crossed Rest your hands comfortably on your lap.

Begin the process of slow, deliberate breathing, drawing your breath up from your stomach on the inbreath up to your forehead.

Hold the breath for four long counts. Release your breath down to your stomach.

Repeat this breathing process nine times.

Once you are tuned in to your breathing, make whatever physical adjustments to become more comfortable and relaxed.

Now, place your awareness at the seat of consciousness-the third eye or sixth chakra located between the eyebrows and in the centermost area of the brain. This is the chakra associated with intuition.

As you put your awareness on your third eye, you are increasing its power. Direct your consciousness to your third eye with your eyes remaining closed. If your mind wanders, simply bring it back to the third eye.

Now, consider a question about something that you need answers or guidance for. Notice what comes up for you.

Notice if you visualize some picture, or sound, or voice, or experience a particular feeling or sensation, or a taste, or a smell.

Take a few minutes of clock time...all the time you need...to allow the power of your intuition to guide you.

As you engage this process, allow yourself to tune in, tap in, and turn on your intuition. Know that whatever you need to know you have access to. Utilize trust, and act deliberately and appropriately through the use of your intuitive mind.

Acknowledge this amazing connection with the spirit and energy of the source of all creation through the power of your intuition.

Give thanks for the opportunity to be at one with all that is knowable.

Be grateful for the fulfillment of all of the amazing information that fulfills your intuitive desire, and release this into the action of the spirit of all creation.
